The Dream Project program is a scholarship program organized by the 5 point film festival. They give out five $1,500 dream scholarships to local high school students in the Roaring Fork Valley (Aspen to Parachute). The project is designed to explore their dreams, test their acquired academic skills, and to create a unique adventure of their own. While 5 point is an outdoor film festival, they do not require projects to involve an outdoor aspect, and we encourage students to submit a wide variety of proposals.

Aikido is translated as the way of harmonizing with energy. It’s core principle is conflict resolution without injury to attacker. This is a difficult challenge both physically and emotionally. There are no competitions, matches, or trophies in Aikido. Instead Aikido is a ceaseless polishing of oneself. It is at once a great physical work out, an effective non-violent self-defense, and a spiritual path. Aikido embodies the Mind, Body, Spirit ethos of Aspen. Aikido classes are offered through Colorado Mountain College at the Aspen and Glenwood Springs campuses. Classes in Aspen meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:15 PM. Brad Manosevitz has led the current Aikido program in Aspen since 2002. For more information visit aikidoaspen.com
